Gearing Up for Next Spring

It’s been a busy summer here at Heather in the Villa. I’ve been collecting seeds from my yard and my neighbors’ yards (thank you generous neighbors). I’ve also been watching over varieties that I love and want to continue to grow for years to come. My front and back yards are literally buzzing with pollinators and numerous (I haven’t counted in awhile) varieties of perennials and annuals. For the first time, I’m growing Mexican Sunflowers and Burgundy Sunflowers. I can’t wait to offer them in the spring. I’m also growing roses from cuttings that will hopefully be ready to go when it again warms up here in Chicago. The dahlia varieties grown from Floret original seeds are spectacular! I’m spreading dahlia love all around Chicago. It’s been so beautiful to see pictures from customers and friends of their Heather in the Villa plants growing and blooming. Thank you to everyone who has supported and continues to support my venture. Growing and sharing plants is my heart and soul!
